Wreckage
Anchor in the sea below
Darkness has become your tomb.
Waves above tease you with their playing
Reflecting light dances from the moon.
Anchor in the ocean deep
Coral reefs have become your bed.
Seaweed like a blanket caresses
Swimming fish laugh around your head.
Anchor in the sea below
Water has become your fray.
Once a friend to ship and captain
Lost to rust and to decay.
Anchor in the ocean deep
Sandy floors have become your keeper.
Crustaceans creep among your bones
And surely salt has become your reaper.
