Able to cut down, Tear away your voice
With force I mold, Take away your choice
My look can carry, The power to take
My hand controls, A weapon to break
Swift and violent, Gentle and meek
A show of love, But never weak
I may draw blood, With every word
Don’t you know? My pen’s a sword
You may destroy me, Yet it’s in vain
Don’t be fooled, I’ll still remain
With bitter echos, Or triumphant song
A heartfelt desire, Or warrior throng
From limb to limb, You may sever
But I am strong, I will endeavor
I have such faith, In every word
Don’t you know? Pen beats sword!

WOO
Wow, that’s really cool, there is a few lines in that which I’ve tried to work into poems, some have worked others haven’t. But I like what you’ve done.
Thanks- I think you inspired me to get violent though 😉 Just saying! Haha! Actually this photo I did a few weeks ago.
You’ll be dismembering people in no time 🙂
I had a line in a poem a few weeks back about the pen mighty than the sword, not sure if I posted it or not.
Now I’m going to have to look…I’m not trying to copy, but great mind and all…
Haha great mind is not something those close to me would ever say. Their two words usually start with F and O 🙂
Well, there’s no accounting for taste 😉
That’s what I tell them too 🙂
See, I’m telling you… great minds 😉
My mind’s stagnant right now, trying to figure out the best way to make a character shocked that the accident she set up happened but also disappointed that it didn’t work the way she wanted it. I sort of know what I’m doing but I am only on my second coffee.
Is she going to be believably shocked or is her reaction going to be suspicious?
I’m hoping to make her believably shocked, that’s the bit I am trying to wrap my head around. I know how to do with a video camera but I have to find the words to do it in text.
Describing facial expressions is always a good place to start. Use lots of big words, then the reader will just skim over… 😉
The problem is I want two different emotions and I can’t get this out of my head. Ambivalence 3:08.
The link isn’t going to the right place
Oh ok when I look at the site it shows a clip from Red Dwarf (the UK version not the crappy US version 🙂 ) and the Krythen the robot tries to be ambivalent which is a good move for a robot. I can’t get it out my head when I think of the word.
Ohh, I found it, haha! I hate BBC (sorry for anyone else that is reading this) but that’s funny 🙂
Red Dwarf is probably one of my favourite shows but the Yanks ruined it 😛
I’m still a Big Bang girl 😉
I like Big Bang but RD is hilarious SciFi….no it’s not just comedy in space, apparently if you like RD you can’t like Star Trek 🙂
Honest never heard of it 😦 I do like Star Trek…
Yeah it was more of a cult classic but every episode was filled with laughs.
How about using contradictory instead 🙂
It’s on the back burner for the moment, just thought of something else.
Wonderful! Thank you.
Lord Bless, Keep, Shine. . .
Appreciate that, thank you & for stopping by 🙂
There is something about your words. They are crafted neatly and they are captivating. They pierce the skin of my thoughts. They draw the blood of “blocks” and infuse the nutrients of inspiration. I love this piece. Words are powerful.
Such a big compliment, it does my heart good. That you have taken time to read my words and feel my soul in them is a great gift to me. Thank you so very much! Do keep in touch 🙂
