Delicately Spun

Dream, Dare, Fly

“The bird dares to break the shell, then the shell breaks open and the bird can fly openly. This is the simplest principle of success. You dream, you dare and and you fly.”

Reflect Upon

“It is when you lose sight of yourself, that you lose your way. To keep your truth in sight you must keep yourself in sight and the world to you should be a mirror to reflect to you your image; the world should be a mirror that you reflect upon.” ~C. JoyBell C.

These Memories

To Paul

Memories run fondly through my head
Of the day when we were wed
Has it really been nearly nineteen years
That day, so many happy tears

And if I were to choose to go back in time
When you asked, “Please be mine”
I would say, “Yes” To this life once again
Knowing what I didn’t know then

The times we’ve grieved and times of pain
Are worth it all, won’t be in vain
For with each moment that we have cried
Still worth it all to be your bride

The laughs and giggles I’ve shared with you
When I think I won’t get through
Keep me grounded, help lessen the sorrows
Holding on for brighter tomorrows

Life is quite messy and often so complicated
But I still remember when we dated
Our two beautiful children are nearly grown
Can’t believe how the time has flown

Struggles have been many, but joys are more
As a mom and a dad they both adore
We walked through fires and danced in the rain
Held on to one another when in pain

Now as we journey into our future, hand in hand
Even if it is not how we had planned
Nothing is able to take these memories from me
Signed, Your Wife, Michelle, lovingly©

To Land or Land

I love this photo, here in Myrtle Beach, as the clouds curved with the coast line. But, there, right in the middle of my picture, flies the stupid commercial plane! I hate these things. They are always flying about during tourist season, streaming along their banners of some sort. Usually for a tourist store, of which there are TONS (like they can’t find them)! Well, eventually it will land and so I use this photo as two fold, in the Tuesday Photo Challenge: Land. To land or land? Mac©

Fly Free, Into Solitude

The silence is deafening, full of loneliness, emptiness
I wish to go away, flying free to the sea
Listening to the waves, my soul is renewed in solitude©

Those Golden Hues

The light has begun its journey across the sky
First peeks the rays of a pink iridescent light
Then comes the hues of gold that make me cry
In perfection is the orange, as leaves the night

Here comes the sun peaking from its slumber
Kissing the sky gently, so beautifully infusing
A paint brush and pallet, colors I can’t number
Darkness to daylight this brilliance it is fusing©

Military Memorial

Near the site of the former Air Force Base in Myrtle Beach, SC, sits this memorial site for Veterans. Along with this, there are multiple fighter jets and a repurposed, metal statue created by a local artist. All sits on a beautiful wooded piece of land.

Share The Path

Shine your light along the way and help brighten someone’s day. A journey faced alone is never fun, but share the path and help someone. Our destinations are unknown, but there is no need to go it alone. So if you ever need a friend, on me you surely can depend. Because life’s too hard to face apart, please let me in and heal your heart.© ~Mac
