The Dunes

“Let my toes teach the shore
how to feel a tranquil life
through the wetness of sands

Let my heart latch the door
of blackness, as all my pain
now blue sky understands”
― Munia Khan

“B” Is For Birds

“When I go down by the sandy shore
I can think of nothing I want more
Than to live by the booming sea
As the seagulls flutter round about me

I can run about–when the tide is out
With the wind and the sand and the sea all about
And the seagulls are swirling and diving for fish
Oh-to live by the sea is my only wish.”
~Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

We Go Together

We go together like PB and J
We go together just this way

We go together like one and two
We go together just me and you

We go together like sand and seas
We go together a pod with two peas

We go together like here and there
We go together like a matchless pair

We go together like coffee and cream
We go together like love in a dream

We go together like a perfect rhyme
And we’ll go together for a lifetime

Because…
I am yours and you are mine©

To Land or Land

I love this photo, here in Myrtle Beach, as the clouds curved with the coast line. But, there, right in the middle of my picture, flies the stupid commercial plane! I hate these things. They are always flying about during tourist season, streaming along their banners of some sort. Usually for a tourist store, of which there are TONS (like they can’t find them)! Well, eventually it will land and so I use this photo as two fold, in the Tuesday Photo Challenge: Land. To land or land? Mac©

Those Golden Hues

The light has begun its journey across the sky
First peeks the rays of a pink iridescent light
Then comes the hues of gold that make me cry
In perfection is the orange, as leaves the night

Here comes the sun peaking from its slumber
Kissing the sky gently, so beautifully infusing
A paint brush and pallet, colors I can’t number
Darkness to daylight this brilliance it is fusing©

Surrounding Of Solace

“The perpetual movement of the water, rolling from and to unknown destinations, the voices of the sea shield us from the raging furies and shrieking sounds of dystopian surroundings, creating an unwinding veil for stilled happiness, acquainting us with the gentle, cosmic rhythms of an extraneous world. They are a soothing relief and let us listen to the voices of our inner world. (“Voices of the sea” )” ~Erik Pevernagie

Journey By Sea

Safe Harbor© (Lake Champlain) by Mac

Come along to the edge of this great sea
On a ship, sail a boat, float away with me

Life is rough, waves are tough, but we’ll be
Safe on board, safe enough, to be care free

Don’t rock the boat, stay afloat, is my plea
Waters lap, white waves cap, we must flee

Journey’s end, sails we mend, land we see
Harbor lights, darkest nights, followed we

Made it through, me and you, land and sea
Path we took, didn’t look, kept eyes on thee

Now’s the end, so we will spend, all eternity
Take my hand, we’re to land, it’s you and me

Path To The Sky

“But the beauty is in the walking — we are betrayed by destinations.” ~Welsh poet Gwyn Thomas

This week the Daily Post would have us talk about the “Path.” As we are coming to the end of the year and 2017 just around the corner. Forcing us to look to the future perhaps and consider what lays ahead.

I will just share with you these photos I’ve taken that represent the limitless possibilities of the future. No, there is no path, for the “Sky is the limit” or perhaps even the sky holds no bounds. Such a wonderful image it makes to how wide open life is and how far we can go.

So, as I look to the journey ahead and recount the year gone by, I only know that there is so many ways that life can take me. I am excited, hesitant, full of anticipation and also self-doubt. But aren’t those all emotions we deal with? So, most of all I shall bolster my confidence, face the future head on and look to the sky.©

Blessings in the New Year my friends. ~Mac
