Order In Chaos

“Chaos is merely order waiting to be deciphered.”
― José Saramago, The Double

In a world full of chaos I am drawn to order and straight lines. They bring me a sense of peace and happiness. Perhaps it is because with life around me going every which way; the hustle and bustle of people is enough at times to make me withdraw into my anxiety. I look for things that are neat, organized and precise. To capture these things in a photo is amazing and gives me great pleasure. ~Mac

From Sunrise To Sunset

In the city of Myrtle Beach I always have opportunities to visit local areas where I can capture amazing sunrises and sunsets. In these photos you will see the sunrise from the shore of Myrtle Beach and the sunset captured from a market area named “Broadway At The Beach.”

Now, while these moments were planned, there are times that I see things around this beautiful city I would like to photograph, but I do not have my DSLR camera in hand. I have often wished that there was a compact DSLR camera with the same capabilities to capture in high-megapixel quality and powerful enough to take even the best low-light photos. A camera that I could easily carry in my pocket or throw in my purse. Recently I was introduced to The Light L16 Camera, developed by Light.co, and they have developed just this style of compact camera. I was thrilled to be asked to be part of their #VantagePoint Project which you can check out on Pinterest

A String Of Lights

“It’s alright, just wait and see, your string of lights is still bright to me. Who you are is not where you’ve been. You’re still an innocent. It’s okay life is a tough crowd…” ~Taylor Swift

My Lost Property

DSC_0036 (2)

Reflective by Mac©

I’m feeling something’s gone in me, but don’t know what it could be
And yet my heart is still all in tact, don’t know then what it is I lack
Often it seems to be very hard to cope, maybe I have lost all my hope
But my soul is surely in its place, and a smile is still across this face
Found my mind and it seems hazy and yes it’s even a wee bit crazy
Maybe I’ll not find my way, I could give up, look again another day

But on and on I’ll search some more, coming to this peaceful shore
Up to the water’s edge and take a look, realized that I have mistook
Many things my reflection shows to me, finding who I’m ment to be
In the search to find what’d been removed, I realized I’ve improved
So if you find my lost property, will you please let it go and set it free

Round And Round

DSC_0035

by Mac ©

I sit on the ride and around I turn
Passing images go past me blured
Up and down or round and round
Never knowing where I am bound
Life goes by, the music keeps going
Am I the driver or with it flowing?
Never slows down, never lets up
I ask to get off, may have to jump
Putting on a smile so do all the rest
Ahead’s unknow, hope for the best
What’s a remedy for being unsure?
Life is a ride, letting go is the cure!

The Dunes

“Let my toes teach the shore
how to feel a tranquil life
through the wetness of sands

Let my heart latch the door
of blackness, as all my pain
now blue sky understands”

Oasis To My Soul

An oasis with water is cool to my skin
Giving such shade from the heat of the day
Lets me rest from the world’s loud din

So is your love this way for my soul
A breathe of fresh air and a sweet melody
Touches my heart, making me whole©

“B” Is For Birds

“When I go down by the sandy shore
I can think of nothing I want more
Than to live by the booming sea
As the seagulls flutter round about me

I can run about–when the tide is out
With the wind and the sand and the sea all about
And the seagulls are swirling and diving for fish
Oh-to live by the sea is my only wish.”
~Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
