Nothing Remains

Magical bird takes flight.

Released my soul, I set it free, but it keeps coming back to me
I told it lies, called it names, but says it loves me all the same
So now I can’t feel a thing, but also no joy does anything bring
Emptied of all the bitter pain, but then nothing does remain©

Pull Back The Curtain

no-perder-la-motivacion

Pull back the curtain and you will see all the things hidden in me
Locked away deep in my soul, these are what make me whole
Keeping them covered from view, so not to hurt all of you
But I must embrace who I have become, my entire sum
Living a secretive way is not how to spend every day
Making the choice is harder still, but I know I will
Because when I choose me, then am I set free©

Rain Upon My Soul

crying-girl-wallpaper-14

My soul is thirsty but I have no more to give

The spring has all but dried up within me

My body decays as I long for this quenching

How am I to live in this state of utter need?

To thrive as everything around me withers

The living among this wasteland of the dead

Exposed to emotions of loss and utter pain

I pray for rain to come and relieve my soul

Tears that will wash away the dust and filth

Revealing new growth and revitalizing the old

Changing that which I was into what I will be

Newness of life and a soul once again full of joy

I must hope, I must believe, I must have faith

If the rain does not come I fear all will be lost©

Those Eyes Though

Envy filled my soul, leaving me wanton and desolate
Never fulfilled and always wanting more and more

“Green with envy” seemed only to be superstition
But look into my eyes and you will see its impact

Self portrait, self loathing and self aware
Am I just an echo of my former self?

Window To The Soul

“An animal’s eyes have the power to speak a great language.” ~Martin Buber

This is my “baby” Willow. She is a character, full of expression both vocally and physically. One of her best traits are her intense eyes, which are amazing hues of gold. I love that they match the brilliant tones in her fur. She can be difficult to capture as she is often in motion, so this is a treasure. You can view some of her more active and humorous poses here.
