Reflections Through The Pane

Reflections Through The Pane

Peering through the window pane

I reflect on the day that’s passed

My tears fall gently, silently

I am touched by hues of color

__________

The tree reflects on year gone by

Day is ending, darkness is at bay

Its leaves begin to fall like rain

There is beauty in the pain

Simply Sunday

After having a tropical storm blow through on Friday dumping large amounts of rain, it is quite nice to be back to normal. Also, the temperatures are finally letting up becoming more seasonal. Now that September has arrived, it is a beautiful mid 80’s verses the 90’s to 100’s (farenheit). I enjoyed a low key afternoon and was able to get outdoors to soak up the sun. Here is the view from my patio. The trees swaying in the breeze, the birds chirping and the sky so blue with no clouds. Not sure there is anything better than a ‘simple’ Sunday afternoon, specially when followed by a holiday Monday. Happy Labor Day to all those in The States.

Sunday Trees ~ Photo Challenge

These are my entries for Becca’s (from On Dragonfly Wings with Buttercup Tea blog) Sunday Trees – 247 challenge.

“Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don’t see what goes on underground – as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don’t see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree.”~ Joyce Meyer

I visited this small, historical, coastal town this spring; came across a few beautiful and unique, trees. I love the older structures with them. I always think of the things these aged trees have seen and witnessed in their long lives.
