I love the theme this week for Dutch Goes The Photo’s Tuesday Photo Challenge: Moving Forward. In lue of the time change (daylight savings) effecting most of us here in The States, comes the idea of time and moving forward. One of my favorite things to photograph is clocks and clock towers. So, taking the literal sense of time, here are some captures I took just this week in Georgetown, SC. What a great little historical, harbor town. I’ll have more to come, but hope you enjoy these few takes.

The morning, happy thing,
Supposed that he had come to dwell,
And life would be all spring.”

One thing you wouldn’t know about me, I really love cars. My husband has taught me a thing or two over the years. When we met over 20 years ago, he use to do all the mechanics on his vehicles and even after we got married. Seeing him in his natural habitat, all covered in grease or oil, sexy!
When we’re out, I love to point to a car and ask him if I got the name right. And I’m especially drawn to special ones that you don’t see too often. So, here’s a few of my captures. The first two are from around town. The third is our 2005 Mustang convertible. I am pretty partial to American muscle cars, although there are a few European cars I wouldn’t mind either.©

“With elegant plantation homes, historic buildings, and numerous attractions, Wilmington’s historic district is one of the most beloved parts of the city. Bound by Wright, S. 7th and Harnett Sts., and the Northeast Cape Fear River, this largely commercial district has been growing since the early 1700s and features a variety of architectural styles as well as underwater archaeological sites.” (Source)
I am a huge fan of history, as well as brick structures. Wilmington, at one time, was home of the Masons and you can see much of their handiwork in the historical district’s architecture. This water front city has amazing sights to see, a stroll through the streets does not disappoint. If you visit you are bound to see a touring horse drawn trolly. There is also a tour from the water on a tug boat that is offered. Lots of great sights, free offerings, as well as shopping and food. You will find Wilmington is an easy hour and half drive north, from Myrtle Beach, SC.

A trip to the Battleship North Carolina in Wilmington, NC proved to have many great historical things to see. From the deck and multiple floors below, to the Captain’s quarters and more, it remains a time capsule. Here you see a recreation of a soda shop which correlates with the era. This is where you can have a bite to eat while touring. In response to Tuesday Photo Challenge: Nostalgia

“Always give away your pure love without expecting any love in return. The universe will fill your heart with an abundance of love, joy and happiness again and again.”
~Debasish Mridha
I like to think I see love, in its purest form, as white. Clean, pure and unadulterated. No expectations, but doing for another selflessly. Relationships, after all, are growing things. Being able to bloom and flourish takes nurturing. Giving love in this way is fulfilling and beautiful. And, when giving of one’s self is done purely for the sake of another’s needs, truly they reap what they do not even imagine is possible. So, be purely selfless with your love!© In Responce to~Tuesday Photo Challenge: The Color Of Love

“It is when you lose sight of yourself, that you lose your way. To keep your truth in sight you must keep yourself in sight and the world to you should be a mirror to reflect to you your image; the world should be a mirror that you reflect upon.” ~C. JoyBell C.
